A
Program of the Greater Stockton Chamber of Commerce
Join
the Small Business Council as we provide services which meet the
needs of the large number of Chamber members who are small
businesses. The Small Business Council provides members an
opportunity to take hands-on action on behalf of small
businesses.
The
Small Business Council (SBC) is a volunteer committee which acts
as an advocate for members of the Chamber who are considered
"small businesses." The SBC provides a variety of
services to meet the needs of small businesses.
Meetings
of the SBC include educational programs targeted to the needs of
small business owners and managers. The SBC provides economic
expertise and sponsors special forums or seminars on topics of
interest. Meetings provide an opportunity to recognize
exceptional small business owners.
Members
of the SBC work to identify emerging issues which affect small
businesses. They often act as leaders in directing the Chamber's
many resources to solve a small businesses related problem. By
most members of the Chamber, SBC members are hard working
advocates striving to represent the "little guy is a sea of
big fishes."
If
you have an issue facing your small business, get a member of
the Small Business Council involved! If you are ready to
advocate for the needs of the small business owners and
managers, plan to attend the next meeting of the Small Business
Council.
