Expo Gearing up to Run Jan 16-18

NOVEMBER
2006 - Kick off the new year with the latest information on
agricultural equipment, services and products! Need an update on
fertilizers? On seeds? On emissions standards? Need an idea or two on
fun hobbies? Then come to Stockton Ag Expo, Tuesday, Wednesday,
Thursday, Jan. 16-18, 2007! Our three-day farm show at the San Joaquin
Fairgrounds features hundreds of exhibitors showcasing the products that
can make your farming interests profitable and successful.
This
is a one-stop show, and highlights everything from chemical and natural
weed control to ATVs. Big farm, or small, we’ll have a range of
equipment to make your ranch more productive.
Representatives from the UC Cooperative Extension and other
educational arenas will be on board with up-to-date information for
planning your 2007 crop.
This
year will be our third annual “REXPO,” recycling exposition. This
year’s show will do more than showcase products made from recycled
items, and exhibit manufacturers of these products as well as those
companies that collect recycled materials and divert them from
landfills. It will also present the Valley CAN’s Energy and Clean Air
Business Exposition. Energy and clean air companies will be spotlighted,
as well as featured speakers on how your municipality can “go
green”.
Come
join us as we discover the possibilities. You’ll find a wealth of
information on recycling waste, ranging from tires, oil, antifreeze to
green waste and Styrofoam. With new air quality restrictions being
placed on growers, the importance of recycling farm waste takes on even
greater importance.
The

We’re
always looking for new volunteers, the heart and soul of our show, so if
you’re interested in joining us for one to three days, please call
547-2760. We have everything from office assistant to coffee maker to
fork lift driving positions available.
There’s
more than you can imagine at Stockton Ag Expo, so come and find out for
yourself! Great food, great fun and great folks await you. Show hours
will be 9 AM to 5 PM on Jan. 16 and 17, then 9 AM to 4 PM on Jan. 18.
Admission is $5.00 for adults, $2.00 for ages 6-12, and free to those
under 6 accompanied by an adult. FFA and 4-H members in uniform are
admitted free. And as always, parking is free, and you can hop a
shuttle, sponsored by the San Joaquin County Office of Education, to get
to the admission gates.
