JUNE 2006 - The San Joaquin County Agricultural Hall of Fame is requesting nominations for outstanding agricultural leaders and mentors in our community.   Now in its 22nd year, the Agricultural Hall of Fame honors those individuals who have contributed to agriculture and to their community in significant ways. Each year, three living recipients and one posthumous award winner are recognized.

Last year’s award recipients are Roger M. Bowley, Michael G. Gikas, Robert Hartzell, Emily Maberto and posthumous honoree Robert J. Cabral. All previously inductees in the Agricultural Hall of Fame have their photographs and biographies on display at the San Joaquin Historical Society & Museum in Micke Grove Park .

Nomination forms are available from Stockton Ag Expo, a project of the Greater Stockton Chamber of Commerce, and need to be submitted by Aug. 11 to be considered.   For more information, please call 547-2960.
