VP Michael
L. Devine has been named Director of Operations Strategy for the Grocery
Products Division of Hormel Foods in Austin,
Minn.
This newly created position will be responsible for developing
operational strategies to meet the company’s demand for shelf-stable
products.
“Mike’s
knowledge of the operations side of our business gained over many years
as Stockton’s
plant manager has equipped him with the experience necessary to develop
and lead our operations strategy,” said Russell C. Potter, vice
president of operations, grocery products.
Devine
started with Hormel Foods in 1976 as a relief foreman in Beloit, Wisc.
In 1996, he was named plant manager of the Stockton facility
Mike
joined the Chamber Board of Directors in 2005 and was destined to become
Chamber President for the 2010-2011 Chamber year.
Both
as a member of the Board and as a Vice President Devine has been very
involved in the Chamber with the Executive Committee, Government
Relations Council, Manufacturers, Industrial and Distribution Roundtable
and a member of the Chamber Health Care Task Force.
Mike
has been a wonderful role model of how to be involved in the Chamber not
only helping his business but that of the entire business community. He
will truly be missed and the Officers, Board Members, Chamber members
and staff alike wish him and his family congratulations and thank you
for being such wonderful members of the community and the Chamber.
Mark
A. Zelle has been named plant manager at the Stockton plant. Zelle
started with the company in 1980 in the Beloit, Wisc. plant. Most
recently, he was production superintendent at Beloit
