April is Busy Month For BEA 

APRIL 2007 -- The Outback Steakhouse will host the semiannual Outback Steakhouse Scholarship Luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 24, at the Outback Steakhouse (1243 W. March Lane). Patrons will have the opportunity to dine on a steak, chicken or pasta lunch.

You don’t want to miss this opportunity to show your support for the scholarship and enjoy a great meal. The lunch costs $15, and proceeds go towards the scholarships.

The Outback Steakhouse, in conjunction with the Greater Stockton Chamber of Commerce’s Business Education Alliance, founded the Down Under Scholarships in 2003. The Down Under Scholarships are awarded to graduating seniors who provide the best essay reflecting on how the Outback Steakhouse qualities of hospitality, sharing, quality, fun and courage are part of their daily lives. Outback Steakhouse not only offers the scholarship opportunities to local students, but they also host facility tours of the restaurant; known as the Down Under Tours. Pictured above are students from the Transitional Learning Center for Homeless Children, who attended the tour on March 14. The staff volunteers for the tours and provides this great experience for many local children. Thank you, Outback Steakhouse!

Career Jam

Does your industry have a need for trained and skilled employees? Do you wish you could tell people about what you do so they may decide they want to do it too? Heald College and the Chamber’s BEA have partnered to present Career Jam 2007 on Friday, April 27^th. Hundreds of high school students are invited to attend the event, which may bring good exposure to your business or organization.

We have indoor and outdoor booth space available and if you need power, that can be arranged for your booth as well. Each exhibitor is provided with a table, table cloth, and two chairs. If you have other special needs, we may be able to accommodate, just let us know.
