Ag Hall Names New Inductees

SEPTEMBER 2007 --  Those who appreciate the valuable contributions growers have made to our county will join other ag supporters at our San Joaquin County Agricultural Hall of Fame Banquet on Thursday, October 25, at the Stockton Civic Auditorium.  We’ll be honoring those individuals who have put countless hours and much love of the land into improving the agricultural industry throughout the years. 

The evening begins with a no-host social hour at 6 p.m., dinner at 6:45 p.m., and a program lauding the outstanding material and emotional investments made by our exceptional award recipients.

This year’s recipients are Mark Chandler, vineyard farmer, Gersh Rosen, ag instructor and counselor, Paul Sanguinetti, multi crop farmer, Kenny Watkins III, livestock, row crops, tree crops and hay services, and our posthumous honoree is Armando Baldocchi, row crop and asparagus farmer.  All those previously recognized in the Agricultural Hall of Fame have their photographs and biographies on display at the San Joaquin Historical Society & Museum in Micke Grove Park.
