Who is Stockton's ultimate Chef

APRIL 2008 - You’ve seen the reality television shows where chefs compete in culinary challenges.  Now imagine the excitement of watching such a competition live!  Plan to witness hot smoking pans, enjoy exotic aromas, and watch flashing blades of steel when local chefs gather to compete for the title of “Ultimate Chef, Stockton.”

Charterhouse Center for Families presents “Ultimate Chef Challenge 2008.”  This challenge was held for the first time in Stockton last year.  Back by popular demand, this is an excellent opportunity for an exciting night out while benefiting our community!

This memorable evening will be held from 5:30-8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 6, at The Civic Auditorium, located at 525 N. Center Street in Stockton.

This “Ultimate Chef Challenge 2008” will give three local chefs the opportunity to showcase their culinary expertise.  Their creations will be presented to our local celebrity judges, including an opportunity for you to taste the chef’s creations.  The chefs will be given a ‘special ingredient’ from which four different plates will be made under the time limit of one hour.  One lucky chef will then be awarded the title of Stockton’s own “Ultimate Chef.”

During the competition, many local restaurants and caterers will host Appetizer Tasting Stations, giving guests the opportunity to sample their delicious creations.

In addition to cheering the challengers and sampling tasty foods, there will be a live auction, silent auction, and a raffle with the opportunity to win a “Sports Cafe Playhouse” during the event.

With so much to see and experience, this exclusive event is not to be missed!

To be recognized as a part of this exciting evening, sponsorships are still available.  Tickets may be purchased for $50 each or for a table of eight for $400.00 by calling Charterhouse Center for Families at 476-1106.

The proceeds from this event will ensure that the programs of Charterhouse Center are continued and maintained so that optimum assistance may be given to families.
